Kevin Spellman is a partner of HealthVantage Advisors. He has over 20 years of Healthcare and Consumer
Product industry experience. Kevin’s relevant knowledge base includes the areas
of operations, business development, process re-engineering, organizational
development, team facilitation, senior level and front-line management
coaching/development, project management, creation/implementation of quality
improvement monitors, best practice identification and proliferation, change
management, product development, regulatory compliance and IT strategy. He has
worked with more than 50 clinics and 20 hospitals, providing insightful
analyses, practical recommendations and hands-on implementation support.
Kevin’s
healthcare experience includes engagements within the provider and life science
practice segments. He has worked with large academic healthcare institutions,
mid-size and small community hospitals, physician practices, HMO’s, outpatient
centers and biotech companies. Some of the organizations that he has worked
with include Duke University Health System, Montefiore Medical Center, Kaiser
Permanente, The Methodist Hospital System, Dimensions Healthcare, JPS Health
Network and CoTherix.
Kevin
has completed numerous successful consulting engagements that have resulted in
dramatic and measurable improvements in cost per unit of service, skill mix
optimization, productivity, length of stay, customer satisfaction, patient flow
and overall operational effectiveness. In addition to his consulting practice,
Kevin launched HealthJobsOregon.com, a website dedicated to connecting Oregon’s
healthcare employers with prospective job seekers.
