Short Interval Time Management Core Concepts
• Organizations that operate in a variable workload environment must have a management planning and reporting system that is shift-by-shift and day-by-day.
• Organizational performance improvement must be both top-down (centralized) and bottom-up (decentralized) in nature.
Short Interval Time Management Defined
Short interval time management is quantifying the work to be done, developing a plan for the successful completion of that work, making appropriate workload assignments for the staff, monitoring the work load, and reporting what actually occurred during a short period of time, usually a shift or a day.
